The rabbits walked over to Prince's Island park today. This is become one of our favourite activities and we have enjoyed seeing how the wetland and the park has changed throughout the year.

On the walk to the island, we stopped at the exercise park to play "the floor is lava." Once we made it to Prince's Island Park, the rabbits had a lot of fun rolling down the hill. We then moved on to some group games. We played "ten pass" and "rock/paper/scissors tag." We then walked to find a nice spot by the river to have our snack and continue reading the book "A Wolf Called Wander." After journalling about the book, we moved on today's craft. Today, we painted rocks. Each student painted at least one rock and we asked them to paint something that represented themselves. We kept these "story rocks" as a class debrief tool that we will continue to use with the class. Some students made more than one rock, so they took those home

We then took some time to walk around the wetland and sat and watched the birds before we headed back.
