Chickadees, Mar 9

upstreamforestschool

Last week the Chickadees had been building a fort, so this week we continued with fort building both for us and for our stuffie friends. We collected sticks and removed nails from some of the planks we wanted to use. After a while a group of Chickadees began playing Ninja-go fighting bad guys and practicing elaborate deaths. Those that were not interested in the imaginative play enjoyed hammering and experimenting with the different types of nails we had brought.

We explored a new culvert during class which housed a couple dragons that the Chickadees added to their play. After some games we regrouped for a book on animal homes and soap carving.
